The Indiana Legacy Over-Under Shotgun
Whether you know it as the “Hoosier State”, “Crossroads of America” or “Corn Country” there is no shortage of heritage in Indiana.
Indiana was heavily involved in the War of 1812, perhaps more than any other upper-midwestern state. The Battle of Tippecanoe, considered to be the catalyst of the war, is the most famous battle to take place in the state. Actions that led to the end of the war gave the U.S. control of the Indiana territory leading to a settlement, followed by statehood in 1816.
Constructed in 1909, the racetrack at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway was originally built to be a test track for the many local automobile factories. The oval circuit was the first to be called a ‘speedway’ and is the third-oldest permanent automobile racetrack in the world. Today, the speedway hosts some of the world’s most famous motor racing competitions.
Enriched with prominent people, places, and landmarks, Indiana is revered for its distinguished pride, indomitable character, and patriotic spirit. With a sovereign will and unwavering faith, residents will forever remain vigilant, honor their past and continue their legacy!
