South Carolina, the first state to separate from the Union in 1860 and became a founding member of the Confederacy in 1861. The first military engagement of the Civil War took place in the Charleston Harbor with the bombardment of Union garrison Fort Sumter on April 12th, 1861. The state provided a little over 12,000 soldiers, nearly a quarter of its population, over the course of the war. With a well-developed rail network linking all of its major cities and with leadership of Calvary Lieutenant General Wade Hampton III, a native South Carolinian, the state remained relatively free from Union occupation until the very end of the war.
Just as South Carolina commemorates its participation in the War Between the States, we are proud to release the South Carolina Civil War rifle. The rifle captures the most influential actions South Carolina made in the Civil War. The rifle is 100% made and engraved in the U.S.A. and will last a lifetime. There will only be 34 numbered rifles made making it an exclusive limited edition firearm. Whether you simply want to own an exclusive Henry rifle or your roots are deeply tied to the state of South Carolina, this firearm is the one for you!
